Leadership in Public Service

Community welfare is the primary focus of the BHARAT RATNA SAMMAAN since we are an organization who thinks that helping people in need is a noble profession. Our awards in this category acknowledge those who have devoted their lives for public service with passion to serve their nation, the public interest and strive to enhance the quality of life to the citizens. These leaders are either elected in office, leading NGO’s and other civil societies or volunteering at grassroots level, the common threads that run through them include honesty, dedication and altruism.

For a person to be a successful leader in public service, he or she must possess the following characteristics; community orientation, being able to envision the changes, and mobilize people into undertaking those visions. BHARAT RATNA SAMMAAN appreciates the fact that leaders in public service work under circumstance that require them to strike balance within social, economic and political parameters. Still, they are committed to their work by showing an example of eradicating vice and embracing virtue at the expense of the (Encoding Vocational Schools).

Through these honourees, BHARAT RATNA SAMMAAN seeks to bring awareness in the importance of public service for sustaining and strengthening communities. The leadership of public servants should be encouraged because this acknowledgment as well helps others to emulate such kind of performance. And these awards are important in order not to forget that the public service is a great, one of the most important and valuable vocations for the sake of the society and the people.

We believe that by acknowledging leadership in public service our organisation, BHARAT RATNA SAMMAAN seeks to cultivate new and productive generation of the leadership grounded on the principle of serving and improving the less privileged in the society. It goes without saying that it is possible to become a part of social change if the foundation for a public service culture is created and people with a kind heart and a sincere desire to help others are encouraged to work for the benefit of society.
